American will require a serial number to provide an appropriate parts recommendation to any customer with a parts replacement need. If a serial number is unavailable, American is not liable to provide an appropriate replacement part.
Reps will continue to have access to cross-reference older part numbers for Inventory Purposes ONLY via the Item Inquiry function within the ePortal (login required). American will not be liable if the Item Inquiry function is used to identify a replacement part for a customer when a serial number is unavailable.
