We’re proud to announce that the following American high-efficiency water heaters have earned ENERGY STAR® certification, offering ideal hot water solutions for homeowners who want to go green and save green.

American certifies the following information regarding tax credits under the Taxpayer Certainty and Disaster Tax Relief Act of 2019. Each listed American water heater—whether natural gas, propane, or oil—has a Uniform Energy Factor of at least 0.82 or a thermal efficiency of at least 90%. As a result, each qualifies as Qualified Energy Property and is eligible for the $300 tax credit under Section 25C of the Internal Revenue Code, if placed in service between January 1, 2017, and December 31, 2021. Please note: if you have already claimed tax credits exceeding $500, you are not eligible for additional credits for improvements installed in 2017 or later.
